verbier - resort information Verbier, Switzerland

Verbier is an old style Swiss chalet village, with a transfer of under 2 hours from Geneva. It has, arguably, some of the best and most impressive skiing in Europe. From the top of Mont Fort at 3300m with a very steep black run, to the gentle reds and blues of Savoleyres and the Four Valleys, well groomed pistes give all standards of skier a wonderful chance to improve or to explore the seemingly endless runs. There are plenty of snow cannons to keep the runs back to the resort snow covered all season.

Beginners will learn quickly on the sunny nursery slopes. There is a moving carpet for complete beginners to find their skiing legs before heading up the mountain to Savoleyres with plenty of blue runs, or Lac des Vaux and La Chaux with friendly chair lifts, gentle runs and stunning views. For those learning, we work closely with Performance Verbier who employ English speaking, highly qualified instructors to get you on your way to confident skiing combined with a lot of fun!

For intermediates & advanced skiers the possibilities are endless from fast and fun red runs to steep couloirs. A day tour over the 4 valleys with over 50 miles of skiing provides a memorable and probably tiring experience! For the really advanced skier or boarder we recommend a mountain guide to show you the hidden runs of Verbier.

But don’t forget to leave enough hours to browse the huge choice of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs. There is a constant supply of entertainment, both on and off the snow – from the Red Bull Xtreme to the colourful fancy dress of the Mardi Gras Carnival.
